Tuesday, March 24 - Sunday, March 29, 2020.

Due to the recent travel regulations placed on local and foreign travellers, companies asking people to work from home, and  “social distancing” being implemented worldwide, we have decided to close both the Rowell and Yan Kit Shalas from Tuesday, March 24 - Sunday, March 29, 2020.

We will implement new measures to ensure all students can practise safely, in a manner conducive to their well-being, and at the same time class sizes are set in a way to optimise “social distancing”.

These six days will allow us to ensure that:

1. All our teachers and assistants are updated and consistent in terms of implementing the new Shala measures and their duties, responsibilities etc.

2. We will be able to do a thorough cleaning and disinfection of mats and surfaces.
3. We have sufficient time to address any concerns, questions or enquiries from students.
4. We have time to fully understand the new guidelines and start times for classes to minimise confusion once we are all back for practice (applicable to Yan Kit only).

We will ensure that ALL CLASS PASSES will be extended as needed.

We understand these are not normal times and therefore, we must take unusual measures to deal with the situation. We are very fortunate that no one in the Shala, as far as we are aware, has been exposed to COVID-19.

We would like to stay as ahead of the curve as possible. “Everything is ok until it isn’t” is the mantra we must keep in mind. No one knows what the future holds, and for how long, or how severe the situation will become. All we can do is to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. That is what the Yoga Shala is going to make sure we do.

We hope all of you will join us in our efforts. Your support is greatly appreciated. Keep up-to-date by checking our social media sites, webpage, your email or WhatsApp

Thank you all. Be safe.
